All Ways Caring HomeCare Certified Nursing Assistant Jill Trestka has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Asheville, NC.
Jill was one of many in North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene three months ago. On the morning of September 27, she woke up to her house being surrounded by water and had no cell phone service. She was required to evacuate for several days.
While trying to work through the obstacles brought by a natural disaster in her own life, Jill chose to put her clients first. She found ways to get to their homes and check on them, ensuring they could still receive the care they needed. Jill was able to help some clients make it to the office to pick up much-needed supplies, while distributing items to others who were unable to leave their homes.
Even four weeks after the hurricane’s impact, some people in the area were still without power and water. Jill said she was forever grateful to be safe and have the capability to continue providing care for her clients.
Thank you, Jill. You demonstrated servant Leadership in a time of tragedy, putting the needs of others above your own. By going above and beyond to support those in need, you helped many in your community continue to live their best lives despite the circumstances.
WORK SMART. DO GOOD.
